March 31, 1520, Magellean and his crew will harbor in a city that he and his crew will establish call San Julián. He and the crew would remain their for approximately 6 months. The reason for the long overlay was the worsening weather as winter was quickly approached. During this time a ship of his was wrecked by a storm and a mutiny occurred. During, this time two of the 5 ships captains will try to stage an unsuccessful mutiny. The crew will send out a scouting expedition with their ship the Santiago which will be wrecked by a sudden storm leaving Magellan 4 remaining ships.
