Situated at Tralee Town Council Allotments, Deans Lane in Moyderwell, this demo site has 6 different composting systems in operation - wood& wire bin, stackable wooden bin, pallet composter, worm bin and green cone. This was the first Master Composter demo site established in Ireland in 2009. Part of the local community since then it is serviced by the local creche and maintained by the volunteers in the area. It has the following compost systems:Turf loam, wood and wire bin, leaf mould bin, pallet composter, plastic councilbin, stackable wooden bin, rotating barrel system, worm bin and green conedigesters. Situated in the Sonairte Ecology Centre, this demo site was officially opened in 2011. There are 7 different types of composters in operation (including overa dozen holding systems and wormeries)and these manage the organic wastes from the centres gardens. Following from the successful Stop Food Waste Master Composter programme run jointly between Limerick City and Clare Councils in June, a Home Composting Demonstration Site has been built at O' Brien Park, Clare Street, Limerick. This demo site features 5 systems for composting food and garden waste. Established in 2011 by 3 of the master composter volunteers that trained in Airfield, the Shanganagh Cliffs demo site is part of the community gardens in Shankill. It has a number of different composting systems in operation including: concrete block turning system, plastic council composter, leaf mould bin,pallet composter, stackable wooden bin, worm bin and green cone digester. Situated right by the DART line it is a great output of the hard work done locally by the trained master composter volunteers.

The master composter training programme is currently under way with the Demo site to be built this September. The plan is to have the following systems: a three bin turning system, leaf mould bin, stackable wooden bin, wormery and a plastic cone composter.

A lovely covered multi-unit turning bin is being used here for organic materials from the community areas. Nicely made with clear perspex lids to allow solar gain.

Santry Community Gardens
In this mini demo site there are 5 different sytems in composting operation. These are a multi-bin turning system, leaf mould, pallet composter, plastic cone composter and worm bin.

In Bree, a full recycling and composting system has been installed on the grounds of the community centre and crèche, including blue bins for mixed recyclables, leaf mould bins and a wormery for leftover lunch scraps from the crèche.

Tidy Town composting system built on top of a weed barrier and wood chip mulch at the back of the village cemetery with leaf mould cages and pallet composting system for landscape trimmings from the village common areas. Bushes were added to the front to hide the area from public view and to discourage fly tipping.

A full composting site with leaf mould bins, green compost units, a pallet composting system and worm bin have been installed in the back of the primary school in the village of Ballyduff. The site will compost all leaves and garden trimmings from Tidy Town landscaping activities and the worm bin will be fed with leftovers from school lunches.

Leaf mould cages and stackable wooden compost bins have been installed in the landscape maintenance headquarters for the town village of Ballymahon County Longford to compost leaves, grass cuttings and landscape trimmings from Tidy Town maintenance activities.

Located in downtown Dublin at the York Street Apartments (SW corner of York Street and Mercer Street Upper) this demo site avails of what little land is around the apartment complex. Residents have built a community garden to grow fresh produce and teach children how to garden. The site has a plastic composting bin, leaf mould cage and a newly installed wormery.
Located in Lus na Greine on Main Street in Granard, County Longford, this demo site is part of a new community garden. It has two stackable wooden composting bins, three leaf mould bins and a womery. These have been installed to handle all of the garden trimmings and kitchen scraps from this Family Resource Centre so it can be made into rich compost for the garden.
Location: In Edgesworthtown at The Green on Ballymahon Road
Tidy Town project to compost landscape trimmings, old flowers, weeds in a two bunker system made of concreted blocks and leaf mould cages for autumn leaves. All grass cuttings from 20 acres are mulched in place.
In Drimnagh Castle, Long Mile Road, Dublin a part of the castle grounds are being turned into a community garden with a small bunker composting system to handle garden/landscape trimmings and food scraps from the site.
