Griffin Power 3 Pty Ltd (Griffin Power) is proposing to expand the Bluewaters Power Station facility at Collie by constructing and operating Bluewaters Phases III and IV. Each phase of the Proposal consists of one 229 MW (gross output) base-load sub-critical coal-fired generating unit, located within the Coolangatta Estate approximately 4.5 km from the eastern edge of Collie, Western
Australia. Bluewaters Phases III and IV will be located adjacent to Bluewaters Phase I and II power stations (each 229 MW) and all four phases of the power station will share infrastructure.
The two proposed new units are planned for completion in 2012 and 2014 respectively.
