My Great Grandfather - Anton Westfall - bought the house and acreage from Johnny Darling.
Anton's son Joseph (my grandfather) and his wife Martha (Amback) (my Grandmother) owned and operated it for several years.
My Great Aunt Marie (one of my Grandfather's sisters) (Marie not Maria) owned and operated Sand Lake Hotel (not Sand Pond Hotel) (next door) and my Godfather and Godmother -- Uncle Ed & Aunt Catherine Baker (daughter of Tom and Margaret (Westfall--my grandfather's sister) Smith owned & operated Lake Rest Hotel in Shandelee.
