The West Midlands Showground (location of Shropshire County Show), Berwick Road, Shrewsbury SY1 2PF. Sunday November 4. Discounted advance tickets now on sale at Shrewsbury Tourist Information Centre, Rowley’s House. Radio Shropshire’s Eric Smith presents an afternoon of family entertainment culminating in the lighting of a bonfire at 4pm and a fireworks display at 6pm. Gates open at 2pm for activities including a farmers’ market, funfair, stalls, catering, car boot sale, music. On the gate ticket prices £5 for adults, £2 for children, advance tickets £4 for adults and £1 for children, under fives free. Details 01743 289831.
