South America, Jan-Feb 2013

On Jan 7 I will arrive here from Sydney! Likely to spend a couple of weeks here (or almost) chilling and seeing what there is to see :)

Supposedly, the ferry from Buenos Aires to Montevideo takes a mere three hours, which means I feel obliged to spend a couple of days here, at least :D

The ferry from BA to Colonia takes an hour, so I might go direct to Montevideo in one direction and via Colonia in the other.

Will probably fly from Buenos Aires to Ushuaia around the 17th. In some ways I feel that flying is a cop-out, but there are too many interesting places to see :(

It's a 12hr bus trip from Ushuaia to here! There is also a ferry, which sounds like it might be nicer.

A 3hr bus trip from Punta Arenas to here. If my planning isn't totally horrible, I'll arrive here on a Sunday or Monday, all set to leave on Tuesday, because the ferry is once a week!

Ferry arrives here on a Saturday (?). From here, I just need to find a way to Santiago!

Concepción has been one of the most radical cities in the Chilean student movement (to the best of my knowledge, that is!) so I'd love to stop off here :)

The end of my journey, sort of! Hopefully by the time I get here I still have enough time to savour Santiago properly and not have to rush.

It's near Santiago and looks like there are beaches so why not?

Apparently this place is nice too. Also apparently the views are amazing from Santiago to here and boring from here to BA, so... :/

Apparently this is a good place to go, and it's sort of between Santiago and BA, so I'll see if I can get from the former to the latter via here :P
