Brownton Station, also known as Windsor or Grove Station, was once part of the Maryland & Pennsylvania Railroad. The foundation is the only evidence of its existence, but early photographs are currently being searched for.

Emmanuel Reformed Cemetery in Hanover has been vandalized numerous times, even after extensive restoration efforts. The tombstones contained within it - which date from the 1700 and 1800s - have been pushed over, broken into pieces, or are missing.
