0: The British Library Cafe
Power Sockets: Yes (The triangular tables along the wall have them).
On the upper first floor is an excellent cafe to work in, the environment is quiet, the coffee is acceptable. A favorite.
The first floor restaurant has a terrace, pies and Peyton & Byrne cakes. Short and Sweet, the coffee shop outside, roasts their own beans and makes churros, perfect for a cold walk back in the evening.

A small vegetarian cafe with comfy sofas and a large selection of teas. The tables outside are nice to work on when it's sunny.
Más sobre The Gallery Cafe2: Wellcome Collection Cafe
Power Sockets: Yes.
A large cafe with an attached bookshop, excellent tables to work on, and power sockets accessible from the outer tables.
Excellent coffee, although the place can be full of yummy mummies with small screaming children on a Saturday lunchtime. Tends to be very quiet later in the day.
Visit the museum itself if you need a break, for drawers and cabinets filled with treasures from Victorian sexual instruments to shrunken heads.

Power Sockets: Yes.
The coffee has gone downhill since this place was taken over, but the tables and chairs are still comfortable to work at. Generally full of people working on the weekend, so it's a ncie atmosphere.

Excellent food, great coffee, and usually no hassle.

Free Wi-Fi. Street level is usually packed and pretty small, but there's a quiet upstairs which normally doesn't have many people.

There's a cafe here with free wifi.
Sacred (from Ganton St around the corner) has a kiosk here. Very lovely coffee and staff.

Power Sockets: Yes.
Wifi: Free, but requires a key, ask behind the bar.
Very nice to work in the afternoon, can get busy in the evening. Also has really excellent stonebake pizza.
Más sobre The Regent15: Apple Store Regent Street
Too hectic for long periods, but you can usually get a seat in the presentation area with a plug and free wifi.
Más sobre Apple Store Regent Street18: Hoxton Square Bar and Kitchen
Hideout of the Hoxton Hip. Burgers are nice in this cavernously trendy spot. Watch out for the bar staff's dangerously skinny jean cut offs.
Más sobre Hoxton Square Bar and Kitchen19: Bar Music Hall
Depends if you work better before or after several pints of strong belgian beer.
Más sobre Bar Music Hall20: Deptford project cafe
Good clean middle class fun in the heart of market stall Deptford. Not sure whether they still have free wifi, but it's a nice place to work if you can do offline. They do a decent Full English if you get there early enough (before noon ideally)
Más sobre Deptford project cafe21: Barbican Centre
Free power and wifi (The Cloud, registration required) and relatively quiet during the day. Has a few cafés and restaurants, and nice tables and chairs in the sprawling foyer area.
Más sobre Barbican Centre22: Kings Place
This concert hall and home of the Grauniad now has WiFi in public areas. Cafés have a lovely view of the canal in summer.
Más sobre Kings Place24: Hummus Bros
Power sockets, free wifi, nice benches. They don't mind people staying for a while. Cheap coffee, excellent food.
Weekdays only however and far too busy to work from during lunch time, 1-2.30ish
Más sobre Hummus Bros25: BFI Southbank
Benugo inside has some power sockets, dodgy wifi (bring a dongle) and declining food quality. Quiet during the day. Gets busy 4.30pm+
Also seems to act as a mobile creche.
Más sobre BFI Southbank26: Foyles Cafe (Ray's Jazz Cafe)
Located on the second floor of Foyles, it's fairly easy to find and open til 9pm.
Plenty of big tables, although you'll often have to share with others as it can get quite busy. Free wifi that seems to be quite speedy - ask for them to turn it on if you can't see the "Cafe" network.
The coffee and food are excellent and I enjoy the atmosphere.
There are plugs along the far wall and just in front of the stage, although you might have to politely ask if someone would mind unplugging for a while so you can get some juice.
They sometimes have live jazz on in the evenings, so you might want to keep an eye on the website unless you enjoy working with live music in the background.
Más sobre Foyles Cafe (Ray's Jazz Cafe)27: Laveli

Great coffee and food, albeit very expensive. Comfy seats upstairs. Also garden wifi access isn't too bad.
