I'm from Finland, grandpa was medic in Finnish army in Winter War & Continuation War against Soviet Union.

My gramp was with the 15th Scottish reconnaissance unit. He took part in the d-day invasion and battle of Caen.

My dad trained as a pilot in US in 1942 (Arnold Scheme). Flew Blenheim IVs in Middle East
