Day 1:
Historic Bartram's Garden is the launch site for renowned artist Mark Dion's newest project: Mark Dion: Travels of William Bartram - Reconsidered. The historic launch happens on November 15 of 2007 at Bartram's estate in Philadelphia.
Day 1:
Mark and Dana stayed at Hope's house on their way south after the launch.
Day 3:
Mark stopped to collect shells on the beach outside of the Charleston Aquarium.
Day 4:
"On Monday November 19th we were afforded an opportunity to observe a tribe of people who live in a manner utterly foreign to us. They live in a village fortified with fences and moats called Sun City."
Mark and Dana stopped in Bonaventure Cemetery on their way to New Orleans.
Day 7:
The team spent Thanksgiving in New Orleans. They also stopped by to see some old friends, Jayme and Raven, down on Congress Street
Day 6:
Mark and Dana did some collecting at coastal Fontainebleau State Park in Louisiana during the Thanksgiving holiday.
Here's Mark in Pensacola, still hot on the Bartram Trail.
The team stopped into Gulf Shores before their fated foray into the Alabama swamps.

Getting to the swamp in southern louisiana can be challenging. Bayou Sauvage and other access points remain closed as the result of severe hurricane damage. However, on Honey Island we caught a glimpse of cypress swamp at twilight.
Day 22:
There were no opportunities for gator wrestling, but Mark still made the best of it in Manatee Springs.
Mark's new installation, The Octagon Room, opened at the Tanya Bonakdar Gallery on February 15th.
The team assembled to set up the first batch of Mark's cabinets in Bartram's house.
During their stay down south, the team assembled for a stroll through the Mouse's zoo.
