0: Sherry's Apartment in Berlin

For the last leg of Sherry’s journey she’ll be staying in a 5th-floor Berlin apartment, located in the trendy Prenzlauer Berg district of the city. It’s surrounded by a load of great bars, restaurants, fancy boutiques and art galleries. Reaching places further afield isn’t a problem either, since there’s a tram stop right outside the front door.

A spacious cooking and dining area means the flat is ideal for Sherry to invite friends over for dinner. Actually, she has mentioned her curry wurst skills could do with some practice.

1: Café Morgenrot

Have a massive vegan and vegetarian breakfast brunch. Tons of homemade marmalade, pestos, fruit salads, vegan-scrambled-eggs and more. Café Morgenrot has quite an alternative feel to it. Pay between 7-9 Euros, you decide! http://morgenrot.blogsport.eu

2: Topography of Terror

Located on the site of the former headquarters of the three key players in the propagation of terror, control and coercion during the Nazi reign (the SS, the Secret State Police and the Reich Security), ‘Topography of Terror’ is one of the most popular centres in Berlin for the documentation of the Nazi regime.

3: Berlin botanic garden

The Botanic Garden of Berlin lies about 30 minutes from the centre but is defiantly worth a visit. It hosts one of the most beautiful and biggest green houses in the world and was built in 1896. Escape the hectic of the city and relax within thousands of different plants, trees and flowers.

4: Stasi Museum

Former headquarters of the Ministry for State Security (MfS) now is a museum that tells you more about the history of the Stasi and it’s cruelty, working processes and life in the former DDR. The museum is quite far out east, showing it’s visitors a completely different site of Berlin.

6: Spreepark Berlin

Abounded amusement park which isn’t in use for almost 10 years now. The carousels and big dinosaurs are left to nature which is conquering its territory again. Like in a fairy tale. Perfect for taking amazing pictures.
