Support and documentation for the organization of 100 award ceremonies for the “Europäischer Wettbewerb” (European competition) for pupils in different villages and towns in Baden-Württemberg.
Approximately 15% of the 25.000 participating pupils in Baden-Württemberg are going to win a prize which will be handed over to them in a local ceremony organized by local authorities and honorary helpers with the support of the Europa Zentrum Baden-Württemberg which is responsible for the overall management of the competition in Baden-Württemberg.
The “Europäischer Wettbewerb” aims at fostering the positive occupation of pupils with EU topics, in 2012 especially with topics in connection with the EU year for active ageing and the solidarity between the generations.
Within the framework of the transeuropa Festival for young performing arts from Europe in Hildesheim, the performance group of the mobile theatre free state “Mobile Albania” will conduct a research together with a mixed group of school students and elderly people on questions of community and border in Hildesheim city and surroundings for the period of one month.
For the Europe day, the group will reconnect with the “presidents” of the free state “Mobile Albania”. The presidents of “Mobile Albania” are the participants in the research period of the project – Europeans that get involved during the research in and around Hildesheim and joined the free theatre state for a short or long period of time.
On the 9th of May itself, “Radio Transeuropa” will open its gigantic “mouthpiece” (embodied by a huge gramophone sculpture connected to a bus stage) and receive the news from the “presidents” in form of a bright mix of tales, songs, wishes, actions.
“Radio Transeuropa” broadcasts through the streets and opens space for a creative common celebration of transeuropean relations.
Together with our participants we will move through the city with our colorful bus stage as radio station and involve passersby in a common ritual of celebrating the international and the Hildesheim “presidents” of Mobile Albania.
