This map identifies the gravesites of South Carolinian poets, as well as the names of those South Carolinian poets whose graves have not been researched yet.The map will most certainly become more comprehensive as more and more poets' graves are identified. For now, the map includes most of the "heavy hitters" in the lineup of poets with links to South Carolina.

Penina Moise. The first Jewish-American woman to have volumes of poetry published. She was a prolific hymn writer for the Reform Judaism movement, which began in Charleston and her hyms are sung to this day in synagogues around the United States. She is buried in Coming Street Cemetery.
