1: Old Town

Walking the streets of the Old and New Towns allows you to rest from the the bustle of central city life. Atmospheric alleys, squares, and cosy cafés create a unique sense of history, and in the summer, the Old and New Town Squares become stages for musical and theatrical performances and open-air galleries.

2: "Royal Way" Walk

The Royal Route is one of the most representative arteries of the city, as it combines a series of old royal residences. It starts at Zamkowy Square, goes through ?azienki Królewskie, and then on to Wilanów. It evolved over centuries, and it charms with its scattered churches, parks and residences.

5: Palace of Culture and Science

A great "instant" tour of Warsaw from the terrace on the 30th floor. Mon.-Sun. 9 am-6 pm. To get there you’ll need to buy a ticket for 20z?, when you will then be shepherded into an old-style lift, in which you will be escorted by a lovely lift attendant who has probably been doing the job since the building opened.

One of the most beautiful palace/garden complexes in Europe, founded in the 17th century.
Wander among the peacocks and hand feed the red squirrels by calling "Basia, Basia, Basia"

7: Sushizushi

Made to order sushi with a modern flare, or you can pull from the rotating boats or order from the menu, fairly expensive though, an easy walk to the downtown E.Wedel for dessert

Info: My absolute favorite sushi joint in Warsaw. So good! About 100 PLN / person for a good dinner there.

9: Radio-Cafe. Restauracja

From the website: Well, our restaurant is not only a place serving delicious (we hope), and reasonably priced meals from 7.30am until 11pm. It is also the Club of former employees of Radio Free Europe in Munich. (...) The photos you can see on the walls are mementos of its 50 year history, showing leading personalities of the Polish Section as well as some taken later, after the Club was created in Warsaw in the late 90's. There are also black and white portraits of the American Directors of the RFE.

Our restaurant specializes in Polish cuisine, though you can find some international favourites on our menu too.

Prices:25-30 for a main course, beer 8-12 pln

10: Wook

It is a great place to grab a quick bite. It is very busy at lunch time, with all of the business men who are working downtown and are looking for a tasty quick bite. There is a very wide range of food offered on the menu. The prices are AWESOME everything is either 6 or 4 pln. For example: a meal like sweet and sour chicken is 6pln, soups are 4pln, sof drink are 4pln and beers are 6pln. The sizes of the meals are single portions, but it is great if you are with a group of people and you order lots! One time we had like 20 things on the table:) I really like this place and the food is great. The inside is very cozy with lots of little aquariums everywhere and TV that are showing sports, news and music videos...I think people will enjoy it after a long conference day if they are looking for a good, cheap meal!

Line 180 runs every day throughout the year and follows the Wilanów - Pow?zki Cemetery - Chomiczówka route and it includes the very popular Pow?zki Military Cemetery (Cmentarz Wojskowy Pow?zki). The route is worth investigating, as it follows the
Royal Route (Trakt Królewski), which goes from the Old Town to Wilanów where the Palace is. The entire route takes about 60-70 minutes. Closest stop to Marriot; Foxal

This is here a young, elite crowd head to the moment the doors close at
Paparazzi. Find pin slim girls and office wizzkids trotting down the red carpet
in the entrance, before opting to drink within an inch of Hades inside a two
level interior of stone cladding and suspended steel tubing. The musical menu
suits the bevvied-up out-of-sync dance moves practiced by the guests, with
music ranging from 70s, 80s and 90s classics to chart hits getting airplay
throughout the week. Prices are reasonable too: Tuesdays and Wednesdays
entrance is 10z?l, while Fridays and Saturdays are 15z?.

32: Seesaw

The 70s, New York, served as inspiration for Hu?tawka, though there’s more than a smidgen of shabby Berlin chic too. Set through a gloomy courtyard, and occupying the ground level of a decaying mansion, this place occupies the curious middle ground between an edgy dive bar and a fashionable ‘must visit’. Featuring dangling glass baubles and a red backlit bar there’s an almost scuzzy spirit in operation, and things get seriously incoherent once the vodka gets ordered.

33: Przek?ski Zak?ski

Located on the ground floor of what was once the Europejski Hotel the
impossibly named Przek?ski Zak?ski offers round-the-clock bites to a loud line
of boys and girls making their way home from the pubs and clubs. Food is
consumed promptly and standing up, and traditionally topped off with a shot of
vodka.

34: Pewex

Nowy ?wiat 22/28

Pawilony is the area of little bars at the back of Nowy ?wiat street.
Only a small gate divides this place from the touristy Royal Route. It’s a
perfect place to go before clubbing or to have a beer with an old friend. When
I meet my friends we never talk where to go, we automatically go there.
Sometimes it’s a big surprise for us, that we end up in Pawilony not even
planning it beforehand.Every little bar of Pawilony is cozy and has got the
same structure (2 floors, bar counter on the ground floor and toilets
downstairs) but every is a bit different. Precedens is fairylike, Klaps is
naughty and erotic, Femme Fatale downstairs looks like a tropical island. Beer
costs around PLN 8 everywhere, but the cheapest one was always in Oran? (it’s
worth to order beer in a pitcher). In Klaps you can buy an interesting shot
called “Ruska Heroina”(“Russian Heroine”) including absinthe and kahlua.

35: Cafe Kulturalna

Cafe Kulturalna is an incredible place in the very heart of the city. Located in the most characteristic building in Warsaw – the huge Palace of Culture and Science this Cultural Cafeis something much more than an ordinary cafe and it involves a lot of culture.
It shares the entrance with the Dramatic Theatreand is located in the part of the theatre’s former lobby. During the day Kulturalna is quiet place with a good kitchen and lots of space. But in the evening it turns into a monster. There are nights when clients who cannot find a place to sit mix with the audience entering or leaving theatre.

36: DEKADA

Dekada offers a distinctly unusual cocktail with a
decor that has one foot in Soviet Poland and the other in 50's America. Dekada
Club is more than just 70s, 80s, and 90s-themed parties on the weekends. For
six years now, it's been one of the best clubs in the capital, located just a
few minutes from the centre. Their dance floor was specially designed for dance
lovers, while a sturdy tram stands in the middle of the main room, a feature
that sets the tone rather splendidly. It's been noted that this is not a bad
destination to head for if wooing a member of the fairer sex comes high on the night's
agenda. A good place for a bachelor night and regular concerts too - their
themed nights include 70s, 80s, and 90s disco on Tuesdays, pop Latino night on
Wednesdays, 70s disco on Thursdays, and 70s, 80s, and 90s disco party on
Fridays and Saturdays.
