Home of my alma mater, pierogies, and outdoorsy things I::text like alongside a great city and three rivers.
In my limited travels, still the best city I've been to. (c. 2012) Has it all. Good food, interesting people, outdoorsy stuff, fun things to do, all four seasons.
Came here for the Winter Olympics 2010 with Bryan. Insane drunk Canadians tearing apart their own city. +Poutine.
The silvery bean thing. And deep dish pizza. These are good enough reasons to throw down a hundo for a plane ride.
Far more beautiful than New York, but not quite as fast-paced or exciting. But for that reason, I could definitely live here and raise kids.
I don't know who thought I deserved a job at Google, but they were also crazy enough to move me to Sydney. I'm absurdly excited to spend the next few years here (c. 2013).
Beautiful beaches and beautiful cobblestone roads. Kind of clearly a tourist destination, but doesn't make it any less enjoyable.
Here for the hipster cred. See said video:
KL is an interesting city. It's got the modern flair of a Seoul or Bangkok, and it *does* have more culture than Singapore, but it's such a big mish-mash of ethnicities that it's hard to get a sense of the people here. Good food though. +Petronas Towers
I'm not a crazy Top Gear fan, so no need to start a war, but I think their Vietnam episode is one of their best. It just looks::text like one of the most incredible things you could ever experience: http://bit.ly/SHr7vs
Given how many amazing movies Shanghai has been in, I really need to make time for a visit.
When I think of the country with the most eccentric culture, I immediately think Japan. I think of that scene in Babel, where the Japanese girl walks into this neon paradise of shops and clubs, and I want to experience that.
Kyoto is just the syllables of To-kyo reversed! I figured that one out myself. Clever, right?
Tons of amazing architecture to be ogled. I was very much inspired by Cindy Z's photos on Instagram.
I studied French for four years in high school. Let's see if I remember any of it, and how much of an ass I make of myself.
Born here, don't remember any of it. Can't wait to be a tourist.
Would love to be in Rio for the World Cup 2014. Much drinking, celebrating, and watching of fútbol shall be done.
Almost every backpacker I met in Southeast Asia said I should go to Bali. I didn't have time on my trip, but I don't plan on making the mistake again while I'm in the area.
Vegas is kind of intense for me, but 1. the Cosmopolitan is a gorgeous hotel, 2. EDC VEGAS. http://hcok.im/UkRKGv
Portlandia made me do it. Can't wait to have omelets made from cage-free chicken eggs
Stayed at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel for FBLA Nationals. What a freaking megaplex. Indoor resort, biggest I've seen.
Seen photos of these incredible cliff-side houses and villages along a bay. Also at the end of Bourne Identity. I need to find them.
At the suggestion of Abby. For beautiful scenescapes, grounded airplanes, and exploding volcanoes.
TATW450 was recorded in Bangalore, and the photos A&B posted were so incredible. The set was awesome too. http://www.aboveandbeyond.nu/radio/abgt001
Tomorrowland Festival. Is it crazy to go to a country for a music festival? I don't think so. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UWb5Qc-fBvk
