Mt. Tom

A 12/28/10 hike up Mt. Tom. It was the day after a fairly big snowstorm, over 18" fell in the area where high winds drifted the snow in many areas. It was cold and hovered around zero for most of the hike. Three of us started out a soon found ourselves breaking trail; We were glad to have a couple of other groups join us in the effort. It took us nearly 5 hours to get to the summit where we found great views to the south. The trip down was significantly easier at about 1.5 hours.
