Do this run if you are an experienced marathoner. Once you out in the country there are not many people. No km markers. First one at halfway and then a few until the last 10km which is counted down. If you enjoy running alone then this is the race for you. Water points are excellent. You may think this is the flattest marathon you have done but you seem to be climbing, even though you cannot see it, for over 30km. Don't worry if all you see on the route is cattle. Look out for the specials at the casino and its worth going there for the weekend. Its 3.5hrs drive from Jhb. Marathon number 88 completed.
