13/07/2012 8:06 AM. Leh to Tsomoriri (yak camp) via Mahe Bridge. This ride is a long but scenic ride along the Indus River and then the route diverges towards Tsomoriri. Along the way there are many birding spots. Birds like: Eurasian Jackdaw, Common Merganser, Grandala, White-throated Dipper, Alpine Accentor, White-winged Redstart, Wallcreeper, can be seen. Tsomoriri is at about 15,000 ft, and overnight halt is recommended. En-route on can visit Thiksey Monastary, Shey Palce, the marshes in front of Shey Palace is hunting grouds for the Red-headed Falcon.
