0: Café Avril
Our second home, this is better than our real home because it always has food. Grab a table outside and enjoy a healthy brunch (like
this) or a huge fish finger sandwich (with jalapenos nomnomnom) and, most importantly, free wi-fi (with hourly vouchers).

It's dangerous living near to this ice cream place in summer, but hopefully we'll sweat off all the pounds we gain eating their amazing licorice or lemony cheesecakey flavours.
Más sobre Ital Eis Lido3: Hadigari Grillhaus / Ocakbasi
An experience. Tender meat grilled to perfection by the super-friendly chef who adorns the place's signage, served up by a manic-depressive waiter who made fun of Zoë's hat, to the soundtrack of a cheesy crooner and his giant keyboard.

Our friends call this The Egg, because that's what they go for on Sunday. At nights, a smoky see-and-be-seen hipster bar.
Más sobre Fuchsbau6: Sing Blackbird
Not strictly our neighbourhood, but rather Neukölln proper, we still love this vintage clothes shop/cafe that also hosts concerts, film screenings and
fleamarkets.
Más sobre Sing Blackbird9: Defne Restaurant
Our favourite. We should probably keep it a secret but we've always brought people here - even before we even lived in Berlin, when visiting the city with friends. Intimate little place on the canal, with generous servings of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern cuisine.
Más sobre Defne Restaurant10: Hamburger Heaven
This Foodie recommendation serves the best burgers we've had so far in Berlin. And the fries! Try and get a seat in the tiny caravan/booth parked outside, and be prepared to wait. But, trust us, it's worth it.

A taste of home, Hudson's specialises in scrummy English cakes. For photos and gushing, skip to our blog.

What the what? A licorice shop?!!!! *races out of the flat half-dressed*
Más sobre KADÓ15: Room 77
"Warm beer and cold women". This rockin' burger shack failed on one half of that promise with chilly suds, but then I did go there with Zoë... so.... Get the hot dog burger for a laugh, or the super-sized chicken salad. Turns into a buzzy little bar at night.
Más sobre Room 7716: Il Casolare
Authentic Italian pizzeria, right down to the hostile service. Worth putting up with though, for great pies and a buzzy atmosphere. Book in advance; if you can't get in, try the sister restaurant up in Prenzlauer Berg,
I Due Forni.
Más sobre Il Casolare17: Die Weltküche
Tasty world food, from a deconstructed kebab to countless vegetarian dishes.
Más sobre Die Weltküche19: Admiralbrücke
A bridge full of hipsters getting their lash on. Think Pont Neuf but with fewer Parisians. Yay!
Más sobre Admiralbrücke20: Hard Wax
If you still::text like your music physical *and* on vinyl (you double dinosaur), this is the place to come. If you've "gone digital" stick to their excellent Wax Treatment
podcasts.
Más sobre Hard Wax22: Creperie Manouche
Intimate little grotto that serves up tasty crepes and killer cocktails - try the White Russian *hic*
Más sobre Creperie Manouche23: Tangs Kantine
Cracking dim sum and tasty main courses, many of which seem more Vietnamese than Chinese (but I'm no expert!). Seasonal menus include dishes::text like (in summer) Unter Mutter's Bett - beefy!
Más sobre Tangs Kantine24: KaffeeBar Jenseits des Kanals
We’ve found it! Decent coffee in Graefekiez! Simply “KaffeeBar” to the linguistically-challenged internationals already flocking here, produces a latte to rival that of Passenger Espresso and omnomnom cakes.
