Garibaldi, Tillamook Bay, the Three Graces

we put in at the Garibaldi marina (Launch fee $5). Our plan was to explore the bay and arrive at the three graces near low tide. everyone we met at the marina was friendly and had a good word or two for us. What a Beautiful Day! This was our first time Kayaking around fishing boats, no problem, there's plenty of room for everyone. First we headed across the bay to Crab Cove to eat our lunch and walk on the Beach. the water was crystal clear and you can wade out quite a ways. the view back to shore was beautiful! Next we crossed back across the bay to the Three Graces. the current gets quite Strong in that part of the bay as it is a fairly narrow outlet to the ocean, so you need to be attentive. the Three Graces are beautiful, and there are lots of Starfish, sea anemones, and birds (cormerants, seagals, and pelicans) to see. the rocks are very pretty and have small forests growing on them. Be very careful of rocks here! the current is very strong! On our way back a harbor seal took an intrest in us, but didn't come too close. this paddle was perfect. the only thing I would do different is bring a crab Pot :-D
