Great paddle on the Potomac River. We launched from Fairview Beach Yatch Club, which we won't do again, since they wanted to charge us $20 to launch from there...find another spot. The paddle takes you past the Caledon Natural Area State Park, which has bald eagles seemingly everywhere. We saw so many that we lost count. There are also a large number of ospreys and great blue herons. There is no landing in the boundaries of the Caledon Park and there is several miles of riprap after the park ends. The beach marked on the track is the only legal stopping point we saw. See trip reports at our website http://www.brkayak.com.
