Confluence Potpourii

This hike has two main climbs. First hill is Tinkers which is a 20% grade, 2nd is Firebreak from bottom which is a whopping 40% grade. 20% is strenuous 40% is advanced strenuous. Nearly the entire elevation gain of 1,000-feet is gained in only 3,280-feet of distance. Hike traverses all main trails on the north-side of the American River in the Confluence area of Auburn State Recreation Area. Hike starts at Confluence Porta Potties up to Tinkers Cutoff. From there it's up to Stagecoach, down Bridgeview, across Old Foresthill Bridge onto Lake Clementine Access Trail. Hike goes up from the very bottom of the Foresthill Bridge Firebreak to the bridge. From there it's across the bridge, onto a connector trail for Bridgeview, onto Mossy Rock, down Flood to Stagecoach and back down Bridgeview to the Confluence.
