More Anza Borrego Hiking Road up to the Butler canyon. Along/over the Clark Dry Lake up a rocky / sandy road ending at Butler Canyon. You need a high clearance car, sometimes a 4 wheel drive. Check at the Visitor Center at Borrego Springs. In January / February 2010 the dry lake was a real lake for a couple of weeks. It dried out pretty quick. But the road was muddy and impossible to drive weeks later.
