0: 8am. Torch taken down Great Central Railway line

A runner will bring the torch to the GCR at Leicester North station (just off ‘The Sidings’ in Leicester) just after 8am.
Passengers are welcome to watch the torch bearer board the train, before joining the special steam service themselves – with three carriages open to the public.
Olympian breakfasts will be served on board the train. Along the way it will pass through Rothley station and cross over Swithland Reservoir, before arriving at Quorn and Woodhouse station.

1: 8.47am. Quorn and Woodhouse Relay

Torch set to arrive at Quorn and Woodhouse Station where it will be collected by the first Torchbearer who will begin the Charnwood leg of the relay along Forest Road and Woodhouse Road before heading onto Loughborough Road. It will then be driven to Loughborough.

3: 9.09am. Loughborough Relay.

Torch is set to arrive in Loughborough on the A6004 Ling Road and Epinal Way where it will be carried to University Road and into the grounds of Loughborough University where it will snake its way around the campus – Rutland Way and part of the Athletics track, footpath near to the hockey pitch, Margaret Keay Road, University Road, Pilkington Library. Library, Burleigh Court, football facilities and to the Sir Denis Rooke building.
At 10:35am the Torch will leave the university onto the A512 Ashby Road where it will make its way into Loughborough town centre, past Sainsbury’s onto Market Street, Market Place, The Rushes and Baxter Gate before joining the A60 Nottingham Road where it will be driven to Hoton.

4: Torch driven to Hoton

5: 11.20am. Hoton Relay

Torch will arrive on Prestwold Lane in Hoton and travel through the village centre before joining the A60 Rempstone Road where it will be driven to Wymeswold for the final leg of its Charnwood journey.

Torch will arrive in Wymeswold on the A6006 Rempstone Road before visiting Far Street and East Street before being driven out of the borough towards Asfordby.
