The march and resulting road closures will mostly affect the CBD, with Braamfontein expected to return to normal in the early afternoon. The unusually large crowd will likely create a greater-than-usual knock-on effect, possibly causing backup on the M2 highway.
In theory the entire crowd is due to turn around on itself and head back to the starting point for more speeches. Most protesters are likely to start peeling off by this point, however, heading instead for the areas from which they can get transport back home.
