Great Road Sections

Fantastic wild 500ft Climb, with a really stark summit, almost rolling alpine like. Expect road detritus, stones, mud etc, mainly due to the farm it goes through. 8/10

Fabulous climb through the Elkstone villages on an ever changing road, eventually opening out on to the Morridge moorland visited on the Tour of Britain. 9/10

Super steep start from Wirksworth up to Carsington Pastures, quickly relents outside the village, but still over 500ft of climb 6/10

An innocuous start from Ashover, takes a right up Hillside and 270ft of relentless 1 in 5 7/10

Hard because it takes a while to remember it, so you have a hard time knowing when the pain is likely to end! Cracking climb & easily the hardest way to Alport Heights. 8/10

Short climb but great fun. Usually filthy, but great hairpin on Wood Lane. 6/10

Crazy climb with a rock hard start from Via Gellia and interesting tucks & turns at the top in Upper Town. 7/10

Right, left, right, left. Lots of out of sight of your mates potential on this one. 200ft 4/10

A 50 metre wall, sprint & crack 4/10

A Cat 4 in Nottinghams suburbs? Surely not. Yep and a cracker too! Finish at the Lightening Tree 5/10

Big 750ft climb up the Chesterfield side of Beeley Moor. 6/10

Super narrow, debris strewn lane, very exciting & demanding skill in descent. 7/10

The alternative quieter way to Long Rake 5/10

Straight up, no let up for 750ft, if you go straight on instead of taking the final left hander you can claim a 1000ft climb but you have to contend with a very rocky unsurfaced lane. 8/10

Over 3 miles and 750ft of climbing, continually interesting and varied before opening out on to the Roaches moorland around the spectacular Roaches End. 9/10

Potential for a city hill climb event. It goes right past Nottingham 'castle', with a bit of pavé thrown in for good measure, though Postern Street is one way, the wrong way! 6/10

You can get right to the natural 430m summit along a very stony unsurfaced lane.
