The amount of military construction in Latin America planned by the Pentagon for 2011 doubled since 2009. This annotated map of current and planned U.S. military construction in Latin America is based on publicly available information on federal contracts (see www.usaspending.gov) and on U.S. Army Corps of Engineers activities.
