Parking at visitor center(book store) on palisade pkwy. Go south along with pkwy. There is starting climb point at milestone(Photo#1) Go west 1km(0.6mi). There are 2 shafts(41.28359 -74.03931),(41.28411 -74.03984) but no entrance on top of Black mountain. Descending from west side(Photo#4) and leave trail. Entrance(41.28374 -74.04071 303m) is south side of slope.
