An amazing feat of engineering which has now become THE most popular thing to see in Scotland. The Falkirk Wheel links the Forth and Clyde canals by using a giant wheel to transport boats ad barges between a 35m drop in water levels. This used to be achieved via 11 locks, but now the wheel does it all in one go.
