Mt Laurier-St Jerome QC

OVERVIEW: The track is 214 Km from Mt Laurier to St Jerome Que, Canada, along an old RR Line, on Verde Rte. 2 , part of the Quebec cycling paths. Our Group of 5 cyclists did a packaged tour 4 days, 3 nights which included B&B’s ( Dinner & breakfast) along with transportation for our Bikes . The Track is mostly thru forests, lakes, small towns in the Laurentian MT’s, paved or hard packed Stone. Since the Track follows an RR line there are no major hill climbs. TRAILHEAD: We left the car in St Jerome at the Old RR Station Waypoint “Place De lagare” (this is also the end of the track). A Shuttle bus leaves from the station (Transport du parc linéaire, Aline 1-888-686-1323) around 08:30 am, transports Cyclists and their bike to the Starting point WP “MT LAURIER” arriving around 11:00am. From there you follow a well-marked and well maintained trail bake to St Jerome. There are rest stops at all the old RR stations along the way some with Information Kiosks, and restaurants. We picked up our lunches’ at the local grocery store and picnicked at sites along the track, and stopped to swim along the way. The track could be done easily in 3 days, 2 for avid cyclists, but you would miss the great meals and charm of the B&B’s along the way.
