Hrútaborg

Rising like a medieval fortress from the spine of Mt. Kolbeinsstaðafjall, Hrútaborg is easily noticed from far afield. The easiest access is from the road on the northern side, when you approach the cliffs at the top, hook around to the right and make your final ascent from the "rear".
