Hells Canyon Scenic Bikeway

Beginning in La Grande, in Union County Oregon, the Hells Canyon Scenic Bikeway crosses varied terrain, through some of the most diverse and breathtaking scenery in the country, including: the Grande Ronde Valley, including the towns of La Grande, Union, into Baker City at the foothills of the Blue Mountains, then on to the serene communities of Richland and Halfway. Eventually the Bikeway emerges into Hells Canyon and the Snake River, one of the most unique features of Oregon's landscape, flowing between the Idaho and Oregon border. The route then retreats into the rugged terrain of the Wallowa Mountains and eventually passes through the beautifully quaint communites of Wallowa County, before making its return to Union County and eventually back to Riverside Park in La Grande. A great way to see the beauty of Eastern Oregon. All the communities along the way offer services.
