A great blog post on the trails of Mosquito Ridge Road >>> http://foothill-hikers.posterous.com/the-trails-of-mosquito-ridge-road This easy-moderate hike is a pleasant hike through the woods to the half-way point of the Placer Grove Big Trees. From the intersection with Big Trees one can go left back towards the beginning of the Big Trees Loop, or right towards the end of the loop. Reccomend taking this route after hiking the Big Trees Trail and choosing at the intersection that you would like to see again! These tracks take the right-path, towards the end of the Big Trees Trail. I personally would take a left if I had to do over again:)
