After climbing Kirkjufell we made our way to Drápuhlíðarfjall, famous in Iceland for the slates that people used to collect there (until this was eventually banned). The mountain is compose of rhyolite and is therefore light in colour - it's an easy hike and suitable for all. Our way back is probably not worth following - we met some people worried about a companion who hadn't turned up back in the parking lot (it was getting dark) - this was my "sweep" in the search pattern that we used. The lady turned up at the parking lot at about the same time we did!
