WaterAid | Peter Dwan WaterAid | Children lead the way Good hygiene is crucial for health. But, while adults sometimes find it hard to change behaviour they've used all their life, children are more receptive to taking on board new ideas. From puppet shows to picture cards, games and plays (like the one above in Aileu), WaterAid uses a range of methods to help children to learn about good hygiene. By encouraging them to pass on the lessons they learn to family and friends, children take on a vital role as hygiene ambassadors in WaterAid's programmes.
