Jasmine Marie Kirkland, 4 months. Died Sept. 16 as she slept in bed with her mother, Tonia Marie Holliday, 28, at their apartment on Southwest 91st Avenue in Tigard. Holliday had been drinking before she rolled against the child, who died of asphyxiation. A Washington County grand jury indicted Kirkland on one count of manslaughter. She was acquitted by Washington County Circuit Judge Gayle A. Nachtigal, who criticized the woman as a bad mother who only cared about her next drink but not guilty of the charge against her.
