Connie Lynn Shotsky, 41. Died of blunt force trauma to the head. Her body was found Oct. 11 in the home she shared with her boyfriend, David Harold Larson, 65, in the 11000 block of Northwest McDaniel Road in Cedar Mill. A deputy state medical examiner testified during Larson's trial that Shotsky had been strangled and there were so many blows to her head and body that one injury could not be distinguished from another. Larson testified during his trial that he was trying to teach Shotsky a lesson about the evils of alcohol and that she accidentally hit herself in the face and smashed her head on the floor when he tried to pull her out of bed. Larson was convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to 25 years to life in prison.
