Just off the shore from the Park/Gardens/Main Pool is a series of sandbanks which extend for about 800 metres. This provides shallow areas between the sandbanks where you can safely learn to kitesurf in shallow waters without the worry of getting out of your depth and dragged out to sea. Due to the angle of the shoreline and its location in Thailand the wind for much of the year is typically cross onshore between Force 1 - 4 on the Beaufort scale - coupled with the shallow waters and sandbanks this makes for perfect and safe kitesurfing conditions.
