Erie St. - 414.847.3200 - miad.edu)2012 Juried Senior Exhibition, Frederick Layton Gallery - The 2012 Juried Senior Exhibition shows works from all of MIAD’s art and design majors, including international award winning works by Industrial Designer Jeannette Ralyea and by Photographers Julia Kozerski and Marta Shumylo. Learn how to play “Bacterium” – a highly inventive card game with an instructional video – by Illustration major Michael Petrella. “Bacterium” received one of three Alumni Thesis Scholarships awarded on behalf of alumni by MIAD’s Alumni.
Pre-College MAJORS Exhibition, Brooks Stevens Gallery -Works in a variety of fine arts and design media by Pre-College students in the advanced MAJORS program, with a reception on Gallery Day from 1 to 2:30pm. New this year are courses entitled PUBLIC ART + ARCHITECTURE = THE BUILT ENVIRONMENT + ECOLOGY, taught by Professor Jill Sebastian, and A CREATIVE ECONOMY: A WINDOW OF OPPORTUNITY A Merging of Product Design + Interior Architecture Concepts, taught by Amanda Gerken. Exhibition June 5 through July 28.
