Located on Section 32, the Confederate Mound is a National Cemetery and is the final resting place of 1,616 Confederate Civil War soldiers who died at Camp Morton, a Civil War Prisoner of War Camp located north of downtown Indianapolis.A Civil War Memorial Service is conducted at this site each Memorial Day.
