Unofficially called the Ganci Air Base, the
Transit Center at Manas is a US logistics hub at Manas International Airport near Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan. Originally opened in 2001 to support US military operations in Afghanistan, the US agreed to pay higher rent after relations became strained with the government in 2009.
