I am a full time artist. My expertise is in acrylic ink and gouache on watercolor paper.
My theme this year is Alice in Wonderland.
Using a round table top from the ReStore, a tree trunk, lattice strips, screen, Great Stuff foam, paper mache, and exterior paint I created the mushroom. The caterpillar is hand carved from urethane foam, FIMO clay for the legs and hand painted.
There are approximately 167 hours invested in this year's project. Each year I begin my YAD project several months in advance.
