17-Dec-12 - Razorbill Invasion of Florida 2012 (sitios de interés)

Walked to the end of the "beach" at the Islander Resort in Islamorada in the Florida Keys and right after sighting and photographing a red-breasted merganser (female), spotted what at first looked::text like floating black plastic trash. Used my Fuji consumer camera with 24x optical zoom to take a picture and was astonished to see a very wild looking bird with a weird black bill. A friend from the Fish and Wildlife Service who is an avid birder made the ID after reviewing the pic.
