Located at the ground level of the Hampton Inn is a mini HaidaGwaii.This venue will feature a special longhouse and will showcaseHaida art and culture, wilderness, Gwaii Haanas National Park Reserve,marine animals, shore birds and much more.
The Haida Gwaii House willbe open from February 11th to the 28th from 12 noon to 9 pm.
Ambassadors will be available onsite to answer questions and talkabout the place they live.
Also on display will be a Haida mask carvedby Regg Davidson, an 11 foot totem pole designed by Tim Boyko, and anumber of scrolling images. If you're lucky, you may just see Haida intheir own regalia. Or you may bump into Christian White, a Haida artistwho will be at work carving on site.

There will also be free contest prizes given away daily at the venue.
Haida Gwaii House is really close to BC Place Stadium, home of theopening and closing ceremonies.
