June 5, 2013: Hundred or even thousands of dead fish turned up on Quartz Lake after the thaw. Cause of death is believed to be winter die-off. Lake is located south east of Fairbanks.
UPDATE June 6, 2013: The official count is now 121 dead fish including arctic char and rainbow trout. Most of which were in the 20 inch range.
