Narrow lanes and 50mph temporary speed limit. 4 miles of roadworks with nil to slight delays expected. Reason roadworks cannot be lifted for August bank holiday: Speed limit needs to stay in place because safety equipment has had to be disabled during the roadworks. Temporary reinstatement of this safety equipment would take much longer than the holiday.
