Kate's visit

Kate will meet volunteers who helped at the Olympics while staff from the Institute of Ageing and Health will showcase their scientific research.

Members of the Percy Hedley School, which teaches children with cerebral palsy, will put on a show for the Duchess, while the public can catch a glimpse of Kate on Ceremonial Way.
 

The Duchess will then head to Elswick Park to meet community groups and schoolchildren in the morning. The park will remain open to the public.

Her Royal Highness will cross the river to Gateshead at lunchtime to visit Keyfund at Gateshead Youth Council, one of the charities chosen to benefit from the Royal Wedding Charitable Gift Fund.

In the afternoon, Kate will leave Tyneside for Teesside, visiting the CRI Stockton Recovery Service, which helps drug users kick the habit.

Although the exact route is not known, the Duchess will travel along Blackett Street on their her way to Elswick Park.
