Parish Priest: Fr. Napoleon G. Jinon, OSJ
History
During the 60’s, the Ortigas Company donated 5,030 sq. m. of lot to the Catholic Church in a hilly and green place called Greenhills for the building of a semi-concrete church. Fr. Guido Coletti, OSJ, would travel all the way from Batangas City where he was assigned traveled daily looking for financial support to build the church. For the first few months, Fr. Guido was not able to produce money even from those who pledged.
But in March 1964, Fr, Guido’s prayers were answered. Money came and Fr. Guido was able to gather P827,000.00. The construction began and it took 25 months to finish the church. Arch. Manuel Mañosa, Jr. visualized the splendid building and Nemesio Montenegro of Taal Batangas gave it structural form and substance.
The newly built church with the seminary and rectory behind it was blessed on April 2, 1966. The first misa de gallo and all the Sunday masses were held inside the unfinished church.
In March 1967, it became a parish with the initial of 3,500 parishioners coming from Wackwack and Whiteplains subdivisions and from some areas near Camp Crame. Fr. Guido was assigned the parish priest. People began to flock the parish for weddings and baptism.
Among the priests who extended their arms to make the establishment of the parish were the late Jose de los Santos from La Vista, Q.C., and Fr. Federico Lano, a professor in San Jose, Batangas. As time passed by, parishioners increased in numbers and the parish had to get the services of the newly ordained priests: Fr. Alfredo Piad, Fr. Constantino Conti, Fr. Ray de la Cruz, and Fr. Ed Bayani. Other priests who assisted Fr. Guido included Fr. Celso Alcantara, Fr. Pacifico Ortiz, SJ and Fr. Francis Siguan.
In June 1989, Fr. Constantino Conti was assigned as Parish Priest and Bro. Arthur Canizo, the Economo. Fr. Guido served as the assistant parish priest with the help of the other OSJ priests in Batangas. In 1994, Fr. Noel Magtaas was assigned as economo and assistant parish priest. In 1995, Fr. Magtaas was replaced by Fr. Alan Magtibay. When Fr. Gudio died on November, 1996, he was replaced by Fr. Napoleon G. Jinon.
In 1998, Fr. Napoleon G. Jinon became the new parish priests with Fr. Aurelio dela Cruz, OSJ and Fr. Regie Piad, OSJ as his assistants.
Santuario de San Jose now has 50,000 parishioners. The laymen and the birth of different religious organizations gave significant contribution in the propagation of faith through their evangelization, catechism, charitable projects and other various activities.

Plaza del Carmen, C.M. Recto, Quiapo, Manila
The Basilica Minore de San Sebastian, better known as San Sebastian Church, is a Roman Catholic minor basilica in Manila, the Philippines. It is the seat of the Parish of San Sebastian and the National Shrine of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel.
Completed in 1891, San Sebastian Church is noted for its architectural features. An example of the revival of Gothic architecture in the Philippines, it has been recognized by the UNESCO as the only all-steel church or basilica in Asia.[1] It has also been implausibly reputed to be the first prefabricated building in the world,[2] and more plausibly claimed as the only prefabricated steel church in the world.[3] In 2006, San Sebastian Church was included in the Tentative List for possible designation as a World Heritage Site. It was designated as a National Historical Landmark by the Philippine government in 1973.[4]
San Sebastian Church is under the care of The Order of the Augustinian Recollects, who also operate a college adjacent to the basilica. It is located at Plaza del Carmen, at the eastern end of Claro M. Recto Street, in Quiapo, Manila.

The Ramon Magsaysay Center (RMC) is an 18- story building strategically located along the famous Roxas Boulevard of Manila.
Built in 1967, the ingenious and unique structural design was done by A.J. Luz Associates in consultation with Italian- American designer Pietro Belluchi of Boston and Alfred Yee Associates of Honolulu, a pioneer in designing Pre-cast, Pre-stressed Concrete building structures.
That early, the building designers decided to adopt the use of a novel structural system – the pre-cast, pre-stressed concrete beams and multiple in- place floor slabs and wall panels. The main column of the building is the cast-in-place concrete shear wall core (Moment Frame) over deep concrete piles. This structural system is resistant to lateral forces due to earthquakes or wind load. In effect, the building is designed like a big tree with the columns as its deep-rooted trunk that sways with the wind and movement of the ground. For elegance and engineering integrity, secondary pillars were installed all covered with travertine cladding.
The Ramon Magsaysay Center has survived severe earthquake forces from 1968 up to the latest, ranging from 7.2 to 7.8 in the Richter Scale. It has also withstood strong typhoons that frequently hit the city year in and year out.
The RM Center is also one of the first to introduce the column free concept and the movable partitions in its interiors. This design effectively maximizes space utilization, and adaptable to either single or multiple occupants. The interior dividing walls are also first with the use of gypsum boards and metal runners, materials that are fire resistant for added safety.
The exterior surface of the building has been designed to withstand the elements brought about by the salty environment surrounding the area. The RM Center exteriors are clad with travertine marble slabs embedded to pre-cast panel that is attached to the building frame. These types of exterior material require very minimal maintenance and still lend a look of elegance to the building.
Presently, the newest building that is designed similar to the Ramon Magsaysay Center is The Enterprise Center in Makati City, built thirty years later after RMC.
