Road that was once on the city's to-do list, but now is part of proposed development by Dalron, which has yet to be approved by city council.

Much debated second access road into Laurentian University aimed at easing congestion on Ramsey Lake Road and giving another route for emergency vehicles. Some community groups are lobbying to have it erased from city's official plan, fearing destruction of trail network and natural area. In 2005, estimated cost was $7.4 million, now is pegged at $15.4 million

Piece of a four-lane downtown "ring road" envisioned in the 1960s and build between Paris and Elgin, but never extended out to Lorne and Elm. Was raised recently in discussions about traffic versus parking on Elm. Estimated cost unknown.

Ward 1 councillor Joe Cimino has pushed for this "west-south" connection which would ease traffic on roads in his ward such as Southview Drive, Kelly Lake Road and Copper Street. But this is not on any city plans and there is no cost estimate

Once called the Barrydowne Extension South in city plans, it is now re-named by the private developer who plans to build a 700-unit subdivision around it

City staff have said easing traffic congestion at this busy intersection is a top priority and will continue to be with more south end development, but no specific plans or cost estimates have been worked out yet.

Widening Notre Dame to 6 lanes between Lasalle and Kathleen is estimated to cost $15.45 million

City staff say widening this key intersection, as with Lasalle-Notre Dame and the Four Corners, is a cheaper way of easing traffic congestion than building a bypass road. Estimated cost is $5.1 million

Making Falconbridge 5 lanes from Lasalle to Garson-Coniston Road was estimated in 2005 to cost $7 million

6-laning this busy commuter route between Lasalle and Main Street in Val Caron was estimated in 2005 to cost $18 million
