"041230Z NOV 2006 Two AH-64s from TF Centaur provided QRF support to CJSOTF elements in Tagab Valley, Kapisa Province in support of Opertion AL Hasn. Three Enemy personnel were identified by CJSOTF and AH-64s engaged with 30MM and rockets. AH-64s then conducted convoy escort to ANA FB and returned to original engagement site, identified four additional enemy and engaged them. Total BDA 7 x Enemy KIA. No damage to aircraft or aircrews. "At 050506Z Nov 06, FF reported 3x mortar rounds landed 2 and 3km NE of NAHRI SARRAIJ DC (GERESHK, NAHRI SARRAIJ District, HELMAND). Warning shots were fired by FF to S and SW. 2x AHs were sent for support. FF were engaged by effective indirect fire. MBP identified and there was a strong evidence to suggest that a TB MFC was coordinating. Dutch AH arrived and supported. B1-B was also overhead and dropped: 1x 500lb bomb at 0833Z. 3x 500lb bombs dropped at 0857Z in a line from the original bomb north-east 200m along a wall. ANA reported having 1x WIA but was not a requirement for IRT support. BDA: 1x EN dead, 1x EN injured 1x EN ran away. CAS dropped 1x 500lb bomb on unrecoverable vehicle (VIKING) and was destroyed. UPDATE: 1x ANA KIA, 1x ANP WIA (Probably self-inflicted wound). 2x EKIA WIA. 1x EKIA. At 1405Z FF were engaged with SAF and RPG fire. FF returned fire, and enemy withdrew. TIC closed at 1753Z."

"At 051636ZNOV06, TF Titan reports patrol engaged by small arms fire at Kamdesh PRT. Patrol observed 5 enemy personnel digging on the ridgeline in line of sight of the Kamdesh PRT LZ. PID was established and enemy personnel began returning fire. Kamdesh PRT began shooting 120mm mortars to block enemy exfil routes and fix enemy. At 1650Z, 10 enemy personnel were observed moving south and mortars were again adjusted on the enemy position. AH-64s at Naray responded to assist and were directed on to enemy positions. At 1730, 10 PAX were observed moving into a house. Apaches engaged house as well as two individuals attempting to leave the house. At 1815Z, intel indicates 4-8 EKIA. Apaches have been released. "At 061600ZNOV06, TF Titan identified an enemy OP observing the Kamdesh PRT, 2.75KM from Kamdesh. Titan fired an illumination round and gained PID of one PAX, confirmed as an enemy fighter with an AK47. At 1613Z, the OP engaged the enemy position and observed killing several of them with direct fire. The OP observed another two enemy PAX moving at 42SYE11492290 armed with AK47s and engaged them, observing them fall as well (possibly KIA). A fourth suspected enemy fighter was observed moving towards a known firing position near the Kamdesh PRT. The OP did not engage this suspected enemy. At 2207Z, TF Titan reports two more enemy PAX observing the Kamdesh PRT in the same proximity as the earlier engagement. At 2323Z, the two pax were engaged with SAF, reporting two more EKIA. A total of 3x EKIA were later confirmed through PROPHET intercepts, possibly 5 EKIA based on observation. At 2329Z, TF Titan declared the TIC over. ISAF Tracking number 11-096"

At 1538Z, 15 enemy PAX engaged by A10/AC130 CAS vic WB 38450 20669. At 1637Z, A10/AC130 has serviced enemy position and destroyed 15 enemy PAX. At 1803Z, Predator observed PAX entering a compound at WB 3761420318 and at 1820Z acquired 4x PAX seated at WB 3761420318. At 2010Z, Predator broke visual contact with the 4PAX and returned to base. Total CF casualties: 3x US WIA (1x USMC ETT) and 4x ANA WIA. Equipment damage: 4x UAH NMC. TF Catamount reports TIC closed 2350Z. ISAF tracking #11-102."

"(Delayed Report) At 130500ZNOV06, TF Chosin reported ANP arrived at a civil disturbance, reportedly fired into the crowd, killing two LNs and injuring four LNs 45KM SE from JAF. The Muhmand Dar and the Shinwar tribes were in a dispute when the Shinwar tribe kidnapped four Muhmand Dar LNs. In response, the Muhmand Dara tribe erected illegal checkpoints along MSR Illinois. A crowd of 100 LNs formed and ANP arrived at the scene providing crowd control. A Muhmand Dar tribal leader successfully negotiated the release of the four kidnapped LNs. There was no Coalition Force involvement in the incidents. Event closed at 1632z. ISAF Tracking number 11-216"

"At 130719Z Nov 06, FF being co-located and reported that 1x mortar round impacted 1.2km W of FOB SPERWAN GHAR (PANJWAYI District, KANDAHAR Province). FF located POO and called in a fire mission 2.4km W of FOB SPERWAN GHAR. Enemy mortar base plate destroyed. FF sent out patrols to locate enemy OP position. Afterwards FF reported that an 8th mortar round had landed by FOB SPERWAN GHAR at full stand too. FF were in the process of BIPing a 107mm rocket located in the ARGANDAB river, FF started to take SAF. From reliable source TB were screaming for reinforcements. FF engaged enemy compound. QRF was launched to assist. 1x ANA WIA. CAS was on station and dropped 4x 500lb bombs and used 1,000 rounds of 20mm. UPDATE: ANA and FF cleared through enemy mortar position and confirmed 6x EKIA. FF returned to base. TIC closed at 1551Z."

They encountered 1x TB attempting to flee after the strike and killed him. 6x ANA WIA. A 2nd IED was located 15m south of where IED strike occurred earlier today. ANA went into the village of REGAY and searched a suspected compound. Second IED location will be exploited, the devices will be brought to CEXC PALADIN at KAF. UPDATE: ANA reported two more devices. Incident closed at 1410Z."

"At 151255ZNOV06 TF WARRIOR reported RPG and SAF on a patrol southwest of Ghazni on HWY 1. The convoy was enroute to the Giro DC when they heard an explosion behind them and identified 20 possible TB on motorcycles. Enemy fired six RPG rounds and SAF, unit returned fire and continued to maneuver on the enemy. 1309Z CAS arrived on station. One ANP KIA, 5 ASP WIA and evacuated by ground to Qarabagh medical hospital. At 1327Z, enemy broke contact. 1440Z Unit reported they found an abandoned KBR refrigerator van and requested EOD to inspect it. 1530 Unit reported intelligence from the Qarabagh Police Chief that 3 Jingle Trucks carrying U.S. cargo were hijacked 49KM SW from Ghazni. TF Warrior believes the hijacked trucks are traveling along the Sharona-Wazi Kwah Road SE in the direction of the Giro District Center. 1726Z EOD arrived on site to find two unexploded RPG rounds and detonated them in place. 1815Z the shipping information on the one refrigerator van left at the scene of the suspected hijacking was forwarded to CJ4 to determine what U.S. cargo was stolen. 1900Z EOD returned to base and a security element is providing over-watch of the refrigerator van until it is recovered tomorrow. It appears to be a well co-coordinated attack from SPARROWHAWK Hill and the cave complex area. 4x pax were seen on SPARROWHAWK Hill and an unknown number IVO the cave complex shrine area. Cave complex was engaged with HMG and GPMG. SPARROWHAWK Hill was engaged with GPMG, HMG, Javalin and 81mm. CAS was on station and dropped 1x 500lb GBU-12; 1x TB KIA. AH engaged 8x TB in a vehicle; 3x EN KIA, vehicle destroyed. No FF casualties. TIC closed at 1648Z."

"At 210947ZNOV06, Khowst PRT reported a suicide bomber (SBIED) attacked a patrol approximately 1.5km southwest of FOB Salerno after the patrol exited the South Gate of FOB Salerno. The PRT convoy was returning to the Khowst PRT when the bomber attacked the unit. The bomber was wearing a suicide vest. Explosive type is unknown at this time and is being exploited. 4x LNs were WIA: all children: 3x male, 1x female (1x chest wound; 1x with injury to left shoulder; 1x injury to right underarm; 1x with injuries to face and lower extremities). 3x of the LNs were taken to a local hospital, 1x was taken to Salerno for treatment at the CSH. The LN taken to Salerno was treated, shrapnel removed from the knee, and will most likely be released in the morning. 1x of the LNs taken to the local hospital is now KIA. "At 211045ZNOV06, TF CATAMOUNT reported ANP and NDS from Sharana surrounded a Taliban Sub Commanders compound, approximately 13km north of Sharana in Koti Khot village, and received SAF from the compound. ANP/NDS report they were attempting to capture the TB commander when shots were fired. There are currently 3x ANP WIA, and 3x NDS WIA. The enemy in the compound have AK47s and Hand grenades. ANA/ETTs moved to the location to support. CCA and CAS were unable to support due to waether. TF Catamount will move additional support to the location in the morning, and CCA is being coordinated to assist. 220505Z NOV Unit reported several enemy RPGs and 1 dragunov sniper rifle recovered. US patrol moving to support. At 220730ZNOV06, Medevac requested for 1 ANP WIA (GSW to chest, right arm compound fracture). MM (E) 11-22C, w/d SAL, MC 0857Z. 0948Z Unit reported TB Sub-Commander had escaped using a rope over the back wall when the ANP left their positions (confirmed by women in the compound and unit on the ground). "(Delayed Report) At 212330ZNOV06 a TF Wild Boar convoy conducted a security halt on the North Kabul cut off IOT refuel mid way on a downward slope. Security element observed a van from the top of the hill approaching at a high rate of speed. Security element flashed undergun lights and fired warning shots. When vehicle failed to stop, security element fired approx 10 disabling shots into the vehicle which crashed into a building on the east side of the road. The convoy mounted back onto their vehicles and moved off site."

Event summary

"(Delayed report) At 301815Z Nov 06, TF Zabul received information that CP 25, 920m W of Shari Safa DC (Tarnak Wa Jaldak District, Zabul Province)was attacked bt TB elements. QRF was sent in place to investigate the incident. QRF arrived and took contact with ANP from CP 25, and gathered intelligence about the contact. Approximately 60x TB attacked with SAF and RPG. QRF fired illumination rounds in the direction of the possible TB position. TB elements returned sporadic fire with SAF in direction of the QRF. QRF returned fire with HMG, 14.5mm, and TB broke contact. No more fires were received and QRF returned to FOB Lagman. After the contact 2x ANP soldiers were WIA, and 7x TB were KIA. One if the ANP WIA was transported to Qalat FST and one to the LN hospital from Shari Safa. TIC closed at 1930Z."
